Message from the Chairman

14 Oct 2020

Like all Choirs, in fact like all performing Arts, we have been lying low during the Covid pandemic, but five weeks ago we started singing again! In a Covid secure building, with Covid secure distancing. We had to split the Choir into two separate groups to get the distancing, and we varied the mix each week, but what a joy it has been to get back singing.

We would like to share this joy with as many people as possible, so, if permitted, we are planning to put on a Concert, on Saturday 5th December, at St Mary’s Church, Horsham (another Covid secure venue). The Concert will start at 4.30pm, and there will be room for a suitably distanced audience. All welcome, £10 entrance at the door, payment by cash or card. Drop in, drop the shopping, enjoy the music, and get back home in time for supper. The perfect way to end a day.

Watch this space for details of the Concert, but we will performing some of the works we were preparing for our March Concerts, which had to be cancelled, and from our June Concert, which was also abandoned, plus some seasonal music, to get us in the mood for Christmas.

Make a date in your diary, now!

We look forward to seeing you

Peter Hooper,

Chairman HCC
